Poughkeepsie Employee Nabbed For Grand Larceny

A 24-year-old man was arrested for grand larceny after allegedly being caught making several fraudulent returns at a business where he was employed.

Jesse P. Jones, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 25, following a complaint by loss prevention personnel at Ocean State Job Lots on North Road, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Kevin Faber.

An internal store investigation discovered that Jones had allegedly made the returns totaling more than $1,000 while he was employed at the business, Faber said.

He was charged with grand larceny and released on an appearance ticket. Jones is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 6.
